RESCUE‐ICAS: Rationale and Study Design
نویسندگان
چکیده
Background Mechanical thrombectomy (MT) failure occurs in ≈10% to 20% of MTs. Among the common causes failed MT is residual underlying intracranial stenosis (ICAS), typically attributable atherosclerotic disease. ICAS large‐vessel occlusion (ICAS‐LVO) remains poorly understood, and management ICAS‐LVO unclear. The RESCUE‐ICAS (Registry Emergent Large Vessel Occlusion Due Intracranial Stenosis) aims at providing better understanding prevalence ICAS‐LVO, overall safety efficacy various rescue therapies. Methods a multicenter, international, prospective registry that currently enrolling patients with who underwent MT. All sites are required report monthly cases meet inclusion criteria. decision whether use therapy up interventionist. Results We will collect patients’ demographic, clinical, radiographic data baseline. Also, we capture variables related procedure (if performed), postprocedural clinical imaging variables. Outcomes include rate successful recanalization, defined by modified Thrombolysis Cerebral Infarction score ≥2b, symptomatic hemorrhage, 90‐day Rankin scale score, mortality. Conclusions No strong evidence available support an optimal treatment strategy for undergoing cohort study provide important help design randomized controlled trials.

LucKi Birth Cohort Study: rationale and design
BACKGROUND Infancy and childhood are characterized by rapid growth and development, which largely determine health status and well-being across the lifespan. Identification of modifiable risk factors and prognostic factors in critical periods of life will contribute to the development of effective prevention and intervention strategies. The LucKi Birth Cohort Study was designed and started in 2...

Chagas disease (CD) is an important cause of cardiomyopathy and stroke in Brazil. Brain infarcts and atrophy seem to occur independently of cardiomyopathy severity and cognitive impairment is understudied. Objective: Compare the prevalence of brain magnetic resonance imaging abnormalities between patients with or without CD; determine if inflammatory biomarkers are increased in CD; and determin...

Angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs) with calcium channel blockers (CCBs) or diuretics are a widely used combination therapy for hypertensive patients. The present study aimed to determine which combination was better for elderly hypertension patients aged ≧ 65 years. We designed a multicentre, randomized, open-label, parallel comparison study. Hypertensive outpatients aged ≧ 65 years who did n...
متن کاملDesign Rationale and Reuse
Design Rationale refers to the decisions that underlie the design of a system; why it was made the way it was, and not some other way. These decisions are closely interrelated and often diicult to track. Design rationale information is important in software reuse for at least two reasons; rst, the design decisions that went into a component will help to determine where it can appropriately and ...
متن کاملRationale and design of the Chinese Atrial Fibrillation Registry Study
BACKGROUND Robust data on the contemporary management of atrial fibrillation (AF) patients in China are limited. Importantly current practice in AF management has changing dramatically in recent years. Data from a large registry study will enable us to evaluate the uptake and outcomes with different therapies in a large Chinese AF population. METHODS/DESIGN The Chinese Atrial Fibrillation Reg...
